Inspired Art was incredible.
The Dwyer Cultural Center in Harlem was a hub of joy on Thursday, April 24 as almost 100 people came together to enjoy art, poetry, jazz and a special announcement about our upcoming expansion of programming to Queens.
The night was dedicated to Alan Spanier whose posthumous $500,000 contribution to our mission. Thank you to Ruairi Curtin and his wife Frella for representing the Alan Spanier Foundation and helping us learn a little more about their friend.
SPECIAL thanks to all the folks who helped make it a memorable night:
Our Organizing Committee of Eda, Ms Price, Nicole, Liz, Sam, Nadira and Inspired Art / Poet-Athlete alum Audrey
DJ KayKay47 and the Boyce Griffith Trio for the non-stop vibes
Spoken word artists: Nadira Simone, Rosdely Ciprian, Albeiro Mosquea, Noemy Santana, Madi Dangerously and Jo D Jones
Mike Logsdon who was kept SUPER busy with his caricatures
